What happens to your video

alfaz reads your video from your phone's gallery. It doesn't upload the video anywhere and doesn't make a copy of it: your project points to the original file. Captions are drawn and the finished video is exported on your phone.

What happens to your audio

To make captions, alfaz takes the sound from your video and sends it, over an encrypted connection, to our speech-recognition provider, Sarvam AI. Sarvam turns the speech into text and sends the text back. Sarvam handles that audio under its own privacy policy.

What stays on your phone

• Your projects, captions and the edits you make to them.
• Your saved looks and settings.
• Your exported videos, which are saved to your gallery.

Deleting the app deletes this data. Your original and exported videos stay in your gallery.

Payments

Paid plans are bought through Google Play or the App Store. They handle your payment details; we never see your card or UPI details. We receive whether you have an active plan and how many minutes you have, so the app can apply them.

Analytics and ads

alfaz has no ads, and doesn't sell or share your data with advertisers. If we add analytics to understand how the app is used, we'll say so here before it ships.

This website

alfaz.io sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. If you use the contact form, we receive what you type in it, and use it only to reply to you.

Children

alfaz isn't made for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.

Your choices

You can ask us what data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to [email protected]. We'll reply within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. For big changes, we'll also tell you in the app.
